We typeset more than 10,000 books per year, covering multiple genres, for hundreds of publishers large and small

Standard – our standard composition services include production of a first proof; rounds of corrections; delivery of an x1a PDF print file + a reflowable epub (ePDF, Indesign, XML files optional)

Custom – for larger publishers (100+ titles per year) we offer custom web-based composition solutions, centered around an XML workflow, that significantly reduce throughput times and per-title costs

Full Service – we offer project management that, working directly with the author(s), takes the manuscript through the entire prepress process, delivering proofread, copy- edited x1a PDF print files

Editorial
Our highly professional editorial team uses CMOS by default, but works with other standards, as needed. All of our editorial work is done by native speakers. For English all of the work is done in the US and Canada

Nord Compo has been offering high quality translation services for decades. We have contracts with the top translation agencies, enabling us to offer 100% human translations (no AI) in over 40 languages, all done with native speakers. We have a deep understanding of the different options for Spanish translations, from Castilian to Mexican to neutral Latin American. This allows us to cater to the target audiences that our client publishers are trying to reach.

We offer the advantage of being able to do the layout for print and eBooks of the translated works, followed up by a separate proofread and/or copyedit by a different native speaker.
